01 / The studio

Two Words is a design, technology, and AI consultancy. We work on the products and platforms that hold our clients' businesses together — wealth platforms, tax workflows, pharma launches, internal tools that thousands of people open every morning. Work that has to clear policy, satisfy regulation, and still feel like one good idea.

Our team comes from finance, law, and operations as much as from design. That balance is the company. It's why our work starts with the workflow, not the screen. Why our engineers sit in the design reviews. Why our designers can read a compliance framework.

We are small by choice. The team you meet in week one is the team that ships in month nine. Most of our clients have been with us for years, and we design for that horizon, not for a launch.

Nihar Tanna.

I started in financial analysis at Grant Thornton, working on due diligence and regulatory filings. I studied commerce and law. I taught myself design because I saw a recurring problem inside the organisations I worked with — good business thinking that wasn't translating into usable systems.

Two Words grew out of that observation. Today we're a team of eight, designing and building enterprise platforms for some of the world's most demanding organisations.

Six things, roughly held.

Not a manifesto. Just the working principles that keep coming up when we choose what to take on, and how to ship it.

Business first.

We understand the regulation and the data model before we open Figma. Workflow before screen, every time.

One team.

The people who design the work are the people who build it. No handoffs across companies, no telephone game.

Complexity is the point.

We make complex systems usable without dumbing them down. The detail is what the work is for.

Small & senior.

Eight people, no juniors hidden behind a slide deck. Every client works directly with the founder.

Ship it.

We deliver working software, not concepts. Most engagements end with code in production, not a presentation.

vi.

Selective.

We work in regulated industries where design decisions carry weight. A handful of clients at a time, by choice.
